About the event
Executive Function (EF) skills are a very important set of mental processes that help us manage our behaviors and prioritize resources in order to achieve a future goal. These skills allow us to prioritize what is important, organize and plan for task completion, filter out distractions, inhibit competing demands, get started on tasks without undue procrastination, sustain attention to them until finished, and self-monitor for accuracy, completeness, and other aspects of work-related quality while working. Executive skills develop gradually over time and at different rates for different individuals. These skills take place in the brain's prefrontal cortex and are among the last to develop. (https://www.thecenterforef.com/) This training session will focus on assessing and interpreting assessments of executive functioning, evidence-based strategies, and interventions.
Registration Fee - $25.00 - Includes a participant's STRATUS by SMARTS Survey of Executive Functioning
