About the event

Matt Segall, Ph.D., directs the Education and Transition Services programs at the Emory Autism Center, including the Monarch School-Based Consultation and Training program, the Individualized Transition to Adulthood Plan, and the Emory Oaks college support program. The unifying mission of these programs is to consult in educational settings and facilitate inclusive and accessible educational experiences for autistic learners. Matt also sees adult clients in the EAC Counseling Clinic and co-teaches an undergraduate seminar at Emory called "Reflections on Neurodiversity." Dr. Segall received his Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Georgia, and he is a licensed Psychologist in Georgia.

Come to an informative session for School Psychologists about supporting students with autism. We will talk about eligibility for special education as well as considerations for evaluation and assessment. Attendees will learn about practical strategies for working with students with ASD and helpful recommendations for reports and development of the IEP. In addition, we will briefly discuss the role that School Psychologists can plan in the transition planning process.
